1. Who processes your data

Chantal van Nuland (Technical Virtual Assistant and web design, Costa Wave Web) is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this statement. For questions you can email chantal@chantalvannuland.nl.

2. When I process data

There are two moments when data comes in.

When you get in touch: if you send an email, I receive your name, your email address, possibly your company name and whatever you put in your message.

When you visit the website: through Google Analytics I measure how the site is used, for example which pages are viewed. This processes usage data, such as your approximate location, your device and browser, and an identifier via a cookie.

3. Which data and why

When you get in touch I process your name, email address, any company name and the content of your message. I do this to answer your question and to prepare and carry out any assignment. The legal basis is the performance or preparation of an agreement.

Through Google Analytics I process usage data to see how the site is used and to improve it. The legal basis is your consent via the notice banner, or a legitimate interest.

4. Google Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics to keep visitor statistics. The analytics are configured to be as privacy-friendly as possible and you see a notice when you visit the site. Google may process data on its own servers, including outside the European Union. Google uses the standard safeguards for transfers for this. To learn more about how Google handles data, see Google's privacy policy.

5. Who receives your data

I do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for commercial purposes. I do use a few services that process data for me: Hostinger for the hosting of the website and the email, and Google for Google Analytics. Beyond that, I only share data if the law requires me to.

6. How long I keep data

I keep email and contact details for a maximum of 12 months after the last contact, unless an assignment results from it.

Data that belongs to an assignment and the invoicing, I keep for as long as the law requires.

For the retention periods of Google Analytics, the settings I have chosen there apply.

7. Security

I handle your data with care and take appropriate measures to protect it against loss or unauthorised use. If you notice something that is not right, email chantal@chantalvannuland.nl.

8. Your rights

You have the right to view, correct or delete your data. You can also object to its use. To do so, send an email to chantal@chantalvannuland.nl.

If you disagree with something, you can file a complaint with the supervisory authority: in the Netherlands the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), in Spain the AEPD.

9. Cookies

The site places a cookie for Google Analytics to measure visits. When you visit, you see a notice about this. You can always delete or block cookies through your browser settings.

10. Changes

I may adjust this privacy statement, for example if the site changes or if a form is added. The current version is always on the website.
