Lujo Luxury Living

Luxury furniture Shopify store down for 8 weeks over missing product images. The designer could not crack it. I fixed it in 48 hours.
The challenge
After a collection update, every product image had vanished from the Shopify store. Lujo Luxury Living, a luxury furniture shop in La Marina near Finestrat, spent 8 weeks unable to sell anything online.
The designer had worked on it for those 8 weeks without getting it fixed. The supplier and the stock software gave no useful feedback, so nobody knew where it actually went wrong.
What I did
I started at the source. The images the supplier delivered were download files, while Shopify only accepts images shown directly in the page. That was it.
The first fix was an application that fetched the images, stored them and passed them to Shopify in the right form. It worked, until the supplier shut down their server over the load and put extra security on it.
So I built a CDN proxy worker on Cloudflare. It pulls the images through that security layer and stores them. A link with the stock software then puts them straight into Shopify.
While I was in there, I filled out the product descriptions and dimensions.
Outcome
48 hours after my first look the store was selling again, after 8 weeks of standstill. Every product image visible, and nothing changed in the owner’s own Shopify settings.
For a furniture shop those photos are half the sales conversation. Without them the window display is empty.
